What we do
A pathway into four construction trades.
Trades Ready is helping to bridge the gap between youth unemployment and the shortage of skilled trades workers. Our goal is to provide a pathway for youth to enter four construction trades; Concrete finishers, Drywall Installers and Finishers, Floorcovering Installer and Framer-Carpenter through a two-week training program followed by a connection to an employer who is willing to mentor them with ongoing support by Trades Ready staff.
We are not pulling youth out of work to go back to a classroom. All learning takes place at your place of business from people within your organization, the correct way.

Supports in place for a minimum of six months after youth start in your company
All learning will take place at your place of business, no leaving job sites for education
An opportunity to teach the employee your way
Government support
Incentives and wage subsidies available.
As a participating employer you will have access to wage subsidies to help offset the cost of bringing on a new apprentice.
