Trades Ready bridges the gap between the high youth unemployment rate and the skilled trades shortage by providing youth with the opportunity to complete training and obtain employment as Concrete Finishers, Drywall Installers and Finishers, Floorcovering Installer, Framer-Carpenter
After completing two weeks of training in their community, youth are linked to employers to receive ongoing hands-on paid training and mentorship. Youth are provided with extensive supports - job coaching, counselling, assistance to cover transportation costs and PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) expenses to assist in their transition from training to work.
